I wanted a place to display my fine art portraiture without censorship of the female body ruining my images. I feel like the female nipple needs to stop being wrongfully shamed and viewed as a body part that is uncouth.
This set of images was inspired by baroque styled paintings; a period in art history that started at the beginning of the 17th-century and continued to evolve until the 18th-century.
I staged this set using my bed spread on the wall, scrap fabrics from around my house, and from thrift shops. Model is Lillian Morgan Fox, based in grand Rapids Michigan.
